Greek and Hebrew Study Bible App Reviews

I am a sophomore seminary student with a concentration in biblical languages. I find it very handy to have the vocabulary flash cards and tests available wherever I go! I was even able to work on my vocabulary during a recent mission trip without having to carry a bunch of bulky flash cards :-)

This Bible is an awesome study. Learning Hebrew, knowing the correct interpretation of Hebrew and Greek, taking notes, searching words and phrases in the Bible, and the maps. This is a must for your Library.

Great app with room to get even better! I hope the developer keeps adding content. Would love to see some basic interactive Greek grammar lessons to go along with the vocab lessons that are already there.

Delete and reinstall made the app work after update. Lost all my notes and I dont see how notes and highlights work on update, there are tabs that seem to go to these features but they seem to go nowhere(aaahhh change!!!) It took some time to get used to a new format through the updates, and I use this app on every time I study the bible. I am really learning Greek through the app, its vital to my studies...the positives definitely out weigh any shortfall

The Hebrew Bible is sub par. It does not look real and its in a table form. I didnt quite notice this from the pictures. Plus many times the screen goes blank during the reading of this Bible. Please look at other apps and consider seriously revising and changing the Hebrew Bible to make it look and feel like a real interlinear. There are many good ideas out there. and probably getting rid of the tables would help too.

App works great for Both Greek and Hebrew and you can easily see the word order in the original language. I would give 5 stars if you could go right to a specific verse and not have to scroll through the chapter but its not a big deal there. A couple things I would like to see is KJV for English , and full iPhone 5 screen usage, but even in its current state this is my goto app for interlinear function . Well worth the $$ Thanks again to the author for updating to make it work on the iPhone 5

Update: The developer is great. He answered my questions in quick time. I explained the issues I was having and he provided an update to Apple within the week. With the bugs that previously stopped me from using this app fixed, I give this app 5 stars. Im give this app a poor rating only because I am in able to use it. I have a iPod touch 4th gen on ios6. When set to inter linear mode, I am unable to select a chapter to read because as soon as I try to scroll to read, I am taken to the previous chapter. I am unable to read forward. Very annoying and unable to be used. I should also add this app crashes constantly. This may only be a iPod issue, I have no IPhone. Please fix these MAJOR bugs.

I like the thoroughness of the app in comparison to other similar apps, but am disappointed with how much the app crashes. I also personally find the navigation/layout of the app rather dysfunctional, especially in comparison to other similar (but free) apps. If you primarily are looking for a simple way to look up the original meanings of words this probably isnt the app you are looking for.

I use this app weekly for independent study, Bible Study and Sunday mornings. I love the ability to switch between the text, the original language and commentaries. I write my notes in the app and appreciate the quick hints showing a note is present. With just an iPad in hand, I now carry the equivalent of several volumes of reference with me everywhere I go. Well worth the money.

This is a fantastic resource for people like me who are trying to learn multiple languages simultaneously. It makes studying the original texts much quicker with abilities like being able to look up a word by simply tapping on it. I do have a few grievances however. First, its buggy as hell. Also, the user interface is extremely ugly. The extreme usefulness of the content however far outweighs these minor grievances. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who is serious about learning either greek or hebrew.

I think this app is a great app and you update this frequently I like that. but I think you should update the resolution for iphone5. Except this problem, I think this is great. :)

This ap is so great! Youd have to spend crazy money to get all the books that go into this app! The vocab study section is the best design I could imagine. I have an older version, because the developer was SO kind to communicate with me until I had something that worked with my very old (version 1) iPad. Amazing support, AMAZING ap!! Seriously, the most profoundly helpful & fun thing Ive found for the iPad, I tell everyone I can about it...and now I see its even cheaper than when I purchased it, folks this is a STEAL at this price!!

Much easier than my bulky Greek and Hebrew volumes I have for reading. Its easy to track down definitions when I question whether a word is translated well. My only difficulty is that I cannot save to (bookmark) a particular verse so I can begin reading from there when I resume the next day. (At least I havent figured how to do that yet.) Fits the beginner or advanced student equally well with its options of straight Greek/Hebrew text and different interlinear formats. Excellent for the first essential steps of serious exegesis.

This app has great potential. I use this app mostly for the parsing of Greek and Hebrew words. I am hoping to see even more original language features in this app. Keep the updates coming!

This resource is a must have for students of biblical languages! After studying Greek for one year, I discovered this excellent app and have made great strides in vocabulary building due to the outstanding flash cards, self testing and fuel gauge meters that reveal my progress visually. The audio feature of the Bible has provided invaluable help with my pronunciation of the Greek text. Next year, I will study Biblical Hebrew, and am looking forward to utilizing the flash cards, testing, and visual progress tracking to gain respectable proficiency in that language as well. This summer, I will continue to enjoy the blessing of reading the New Covenant in the original language. I highly recommend this excellent rendition of Gods Word along with the accompanying support materials embedded within the app. I am also highly grateful for the assistance this product has given me in formal biblical studies.
