Greek and Hebrew Study Bible App Reviews

Great App

The accents added to the Greek text are very much appreciated, I cant read Greek without it. But the size of the fonts should be bigger on the Greek interlinear text and smaller on the English text on the left (no space between them, it doesnt look very good). Really good tools and extremely useful information, even though the visual conception could be much better. But Im very glad to use this app the way it is now and it helps me a lot with my Bible study. In my opinion, it is the best of its kind (and Ive tried a few). Im confident that it will have a more pro look in the future. Thanks!

Great Study Tool

A helpful bible study tool which works offline. Thats important to me, because at church there is no Internet connection.

Marvelous!

The new version is really fantastic. Thanks a lot! If I may keep on dreaming, Id wish for the audio in hebrew.

One of my favourite apps

This has become one of my favourite apps. There are many features but I especially like how the flashcards are handled, you can choose either regular flashcards or a multiple choice quiz. Im more of a student than scholar when it comes to Biblical languages, so this app is very helpful.

Update Issues

I love this app. One of my favorite ones, but sadly since the most recent update it wont even open, and Im using the 4G! I wish this was fixed, and soon! Until this happened though, never had a complaint with this app. Great app, just fix this little bug.

Love this app!!! (v2.2)

This is an amazing app! Well worth the money. Any Hebrew and Greek student would love what this app does!!!

Dont buy from now on!

The whole app is full of bugs. Please refund and stop this in App Store.

was awsome

this app used to be so helpful until some recent updates made it virtually unusable. There are so many bugs causing it to freeze and crash, Im lucky if I can even load one verse. I cant wait until the update to do these bugs because this app was so amazing when it worked.

Crashing

Most if the time when I open the app it crashes. Paid a lot for this so it needs to work please fix

Greek & Hebrew bible

Dont buy this app. It freezes. Bought this app for Greek and Hebrew translation, but cant get it. There are several choices, re paper color, English, Greek etc. but none of them work. Sent an e- mail as per app instructions, and never heard back. My email was less than a page, but the bcc came back with 20 pages, all gibberish. It affected my iPad Temporarily. Received multiple copies of the same memo.

Dont buy

I wanted this app so bad because it seem to be great on the outside but there are barely any tools to use. You dont even have a option of what bible like kjv the app only has 1 bible with is world English. For the price of this app its a rip off I suggest if you are wanting the same things of what this app should have. Buy e-sword it has way more to offer and you have a huge selection of bibles and commentaries dont waste your money on this app like I did. And besides all that there is no support they wont even email you back. You get more stuff in a free bible app then what you get here. Also check out PocketSword it has a huge selection of every thing and its free with Strongs and Hebrew and Greek but please dont waste your money on this app you will regret it like I do now

Please improve this app

I’m sad to say this app was very disappointing. It needs a lot of work. It’s slow and crashes multiple times every time I use it. I can’t listen to an audio message and use the app at the same time without it crashing. The interface looks cheap and is poorly laid out. The search functions are primitive and I can’t seem to find a back button to return to the same verse I was looking at after exploring others. Verses associated with the same word are listed but can’t be read in their entirety. Tapping them takes me to the verse but there is no back button to get me back to where I was, or even to the other instances of the same word. There is a lot of extra junk in this app like a giant commentary. Unfortunately I can’t even read it on my ipod touch because the text doesn’t rotate sideways and the words are too small. The commentary should be deleted. I want to study the Bible in Greek and Hebrew and let the Scriptures comment on themselves. That’s why I bought the app. Morover, there’s an annoying pop up containing the developer’s email address with a request to contact him if I have problems. I wouldn’t have been so disappointed if this app had cost me 99 cents. For the price I had high hopes for this app but it simply doesn’t deliver. I hope the developer improves this app by getting rid of the bloat and modeling the interface more along the lines of the Strong’s KJV Scholar edition, which is extremely easy to use, though not near as comprehensive. Please improve this app.

There is a mistake in Greek text

There is a mistake in greek text. In the Ephesians 1:15 you miss the word "agapen". In this text there is just an article, but the word "agapen" is missed. This is very good app. I love it. Thank you. Igor Dorosh

It crushes

It crushes with iOs8!!!

Consult daily

Excellent readable presentation! Find myself using it frequently in addition to daily devotions. Great job dev. Only complaint (does not affect usage): website link inaccurate.

Basic for hebrew/greek learning

This a app is very useful. I like the dictionary linked to the text. However, it does not come with spelling of the text as the description says. It used to have in earlier versions, but for some reason they took it away.

Good job fixing!!

Im sure the creator of this app has the best intentions in mind but this new version is flat out horrible. I have kept it on my iPhone 4 only because it was initially so expensive and I just cant bring myself to delete it. If it had been free it would be gone because it is so very extremely slow, glitchy, and non user friendly. Please sort out these issues....or just return it back to the previous version. That one worked much much better. ---Greg UPDATE: (!) I can see that you have been working hard man! There are several changes that have been made to the update that make the app flow very smooth now. I would definitely recommend this now that the changes have been made. Ive been messing with it and I see that I will like it now better than the first version! I also must commend you on you outstanding customer service and work ethic to fix the issues. Thanks for a solid app! --Greg

Customer service

Thank you for the update! Great service. Updates keep getting better and are helping everything flow better. Get it!

Good stuff

Pretty nifty overall but it would be so much more wonderful if there was audio to go with the vocab portion and if the font size could be a little bigger in the interlinear setting. These changes would make it so much more accessible for someone who is still learning Hebrew and Greek.

Mr. Me

July update: I would really like to give this app five stars, but I just can. The ideas are good but dont work well. This latest update actually caused the very problem on my 4Gs that it was supposed to fix. The app is no where near as intuitive or user friendly as it used to be. I know the writer means well but he should test longer before submitting an up update. He would do well to read "Truth In Translation" by Jason David Beduhn, and ignor the critics of the book. Ive studied the Bible for 25 years and contiue to study and I had great hope for this app. If this developer really wants to design to most accurate Greek and Hebrew Bible I hope to see the nessecary changes, but only after proper testing. June Update: delete the program after you sync to your iTunes unless you ran updates from your iTunes. If you updated on your iPhone, delete the app after your successful sync with iTunes. While the app is pretty, its not as intuitive as it use to be. I have used iPhone apps since their inception. I have been in the industry for 30 years and Im a previous computer programmer; so I am by no means a novice. If I had a difficult time figuring out how to use the app Im sure others are as well. Once you get use to it, as with most things, it will probably be a worthwhile update. Im sure this designer has everyones best interest at heart and will work to make the app work better. As regards the translation, the definite and indefinite articles are still incorrect. Τον (Ton) is not Ηο (Ο). It does make a difference, in some cases it to be very misleading if you dont correct this.
